BMS Factory Pillow Talk Flirty – Sex Toy Review
I am a bit of a hopeless romantic, I love things that are sweetly feminine and I adore sex toys that come in lovely shades of pink (I just heard a collective groan sweep across the internet…. uggggh pink sex toys….).
I can’t help it, I’m a huge fan of all things Lolita and I love playing as a Little… so a love for sweet shades of baby pink is just ingrained in me. YOU CAN’T CHANGE ME!
Pillow Talk is the latest line from BMS Factory, the Pillow Talk line is composed of three vibrators – Sassy a G-Spot vibe, Flirty a mini vibe, and Cheeky a vibrating wand. Each and everyone of these little vibrators is cute as a button and I’m really digging the cutesy aesthetic.
The BMS Factory Pillow Talk Flirty is about 4.25 inches in total length and should you choose to insert it (do not use anally) you would have about 3 inches worth of insertable length (from tip to the deceptive silver band). Width-wise the Flirty is 1 inch at its widest point. The main shaft of the toy is pretty flexible and the handle has a little lovely padded, quilted texture. The entire toy is coated in a smooth silicone, with the exception of the silver band and the bottom button area of the toy. The button of the Flirty is adorned with a Swarovski crystal. On the Womanizer W100 I really thought the whole faux gem thing look super tacky… but this little Swarovski crystal makes the Flirty look luxurious and expensive (even though this is a totally budget friendly toy)!
Controlling the Pillow Talk Flirty isn’t as intuitive as I thought it would be. It is operated by a single button, which generally means you push and hold to turn on then continue tapping the button to cycle through any settings then push and hold to power off again. But this is not how the Flirty works. Had I glanced at the included instructional pictures I would have known how to operate this vibe in the blink of an eye… but I figured with only one button, it couldn’t be that hard to figure out. So, I pressed the button… and the toy sprang instantly to life, cool, so far so good… I gave the button another tap, figuring it would increase the intensity… but instead of becoming more powerful the toy snapped off. I was a bit bemused by this. I tried again, figuring I just lingered on the button too long… so I tapped faster, but again the toy just powered down. At this point I started to wonder if the toy just had the one low level intensity. Finally I hit upon the idea of press and holding the button (the way I normally would to power a vibe on/off) and bingo… the toy began to cycle through its modes. I’m not sure I’m digging this method of control, when I press a button I have a more solid way of counting myself through the settings, but the press and hold method just cycles me so smoothly I have a hard time telling my settings apart. Also, should you wish to back your intensity back down you will have to turn the toy off and start from the beginning. This all seems needlessly complicated for a one button setup.
In use, I can’t say that I’m disappointed… the Pillow Talk Flirty is a pretty nice mini vibe. The vibrations were surprisingly deep and rumbly (I always expect toys of this size to be buzzy… Even though I’m running in to more and more rumbly mini wonders) and very enjoyable. A fair amount of vibration does travel up through the handle though, especially at the higher intensity levels, so it does leave me with a case of numb vibrator hand after awhile. It isn’t the most amazing vibrator I’ve ever used, but it’s also not the worst. It is solidly in the middle, like… I can totally see myself using it again, especially if I’m in need of something smaller than my typical wand choice… but it probably isn’t a vibrator that will usurp my favorites from their coveted bedside position. I really wish that there was maybe a step up in intensity… I am a bit of a power queen, so the Flirty did stop just short of being really drool worthy for me, but the vibrations were deep and satisfying nonetheless. If you are looking for a mini vibe, I think this would be a safe choice, I think it is likely to please most people.
Cleaning the Pillow Talk Sassy is pretty easy, the mini vibe is water resistant and can be wiped clean with a damp cloth. But do avoid submerging the Flirty. Also included with the toy is a little brush that is used to clean the little grooves in the deceptive metal band. This is a really awesome touch, cleaning grooves like that are normally a pain in the butt, so it’s nice that BMS Factory acknowledges that and included a handy-dandy cleaning tool!
Another neat feature of the Pillow Talk Flirty is the travel lock. Not only is it handy for keeping your vibrator quiet while you transport it from point A to point B, but it’s actually easy to set! I’ve got some vibrators who’s travel locks are as complicated as entering in old school video game cheat codes (up, down, down, left, right, up, up, right…). To turn the travel lock on simply press the button 3 times (quickly) until you feel the toy vibrate twice. Repeated the process to turn the lock off again. Easy! I wish more vibrators had travel locks.
If you are on the hunt for a vibrator that won’t break the bank but still looks like you spent a fortune on it, the Pillow Talk Flirty might be for you! I am suitably impressed by this mini vibe, it may not have the immense power I crave (I need a vibrator powered by a jet engine to be truly satisfied…) but it still managed to bring me many satisfying orgasms and its size makes it the perfect traveling companion. Are purse vibrators a thing? I feel like I could just toss this toy into my purse so I can have orgasms on the go… like when I’m out running errands, but I’m just totally fed up with it all and I need to stop for a pick me up… I could pull out my pretty little purse vibrator and instant improve my mood! Also, I think the Pillow Talk Flirty would make a fantastic gift, the packaging is elegant enough to look like present already, add a bow and you’ve got yourself a swanky gift for your BFF (best fucking friend).
The Pillow Talk Flirty is currently available in two colors: pink (which is what is featured here in this review) and blue (which really looks more teal to me).
